Whitemud Drive is an Edmonton-based bluegrass band originally formed in 2013. Clem Bray (guitar, lead and harmony vocals) Grant miner (mandolin & guitar, lead and harmony vocals) Leonard Swanson (dobro & mandolin, lead and harmony vocals) Rainor Webb (banjo, harmony vocals) Andrew Cook (bass, harmony vocals) Collectively, we enjoy the entire spectrum of bluegrass and traditional music – all the way up to more modern & progressive acoustic music. There are many bands who have proved to be a strong influence for us. Bill Monroe, Sonny Osborne, Tony Rice, Nashville Bluegrass Band, Lester Flatt & Earl Scruggs, Spring Creek, The Boxcars, Blue Highway, Jerry Douglas, Rob Ickes, and Hot Rize. We particularly enjoy songs that are “off the beaten path” with unusual chord progressions and layered harmonies. We try to bring fresh ideas to great tunes and enjoy sharing them with our audiences.
