See The Cadillac Junkies at The 2017 Beaumont Blues and Roots Festival on Saturday, June 17 at 4:45pm.
Lead by the commanding voice of the energetic Shalisa Liesch, the Cadillac Junkies presents an eclectic mix of old school country and modern pop sensibilities with a little bit of grit. With the release of their debut single “Better off Alone” and the accompanying music video, their quirky style and engaging sound will hook you right from the start.
Cadillac Junkies flirts between the lines of vintage and modern sounds with ease and the result is an effortless blending of genres. Founding members, Shalisa Liesch and Dennis Boisvert, met and quickly realized they shared the same sense of humour but their musical influences were polar opposites. Despite the differences, they starting writing together and created something that isn’t easy to define but is totally captivating.
All that was left was to find the right bass and guitar player for the project. Rounding off the team, Steve Farrell’s groovy bass tone and impeccable feel beef up the rhythm section while Chris Tabbert’s tasty guitar playing and flawless timing make the songs come alive.
The band recorded their debut album “Drinking Down Dinner” at Sound Extractor Studios last summer with Stew Kirkwood recording and producing. The album is due for release in March 4, 2017. Cadillac Junkies brought on FadeBack Studios United to shoot the video for “Better off Alone” with up and coming video director, Barrett Klesko. The video is set to be released to the public on October 21, 2016.
