The Beaumont Blues and Roots Festival is a family focused music festival. In line with this we are so excited to announce that Beaumont’s new kid’s play centre and cafe Jouer Cafe are sponsoring the ‘Jouer Cafe Kids Fun Zone’, which will be a supervised fenced area for parents to be able to leave their children for a couple of hours to do crafts, play games and enjoy other activities while their parents go enjoy the Festival!
Since June 21st is Father’s Day, there have been some fun ideas planned for the mini patrons of the ‘Jouer Cafe Kids Fun Zone’ to play and create with!!
The lovely thing with this is for all of us parents who have wanted to have our children also come for the BBRF now can bring them, knowing that they will be entertained when they get tired of being with parents and need to go hang out with their own.
Please note that children ages 12 and under are admitted to the BBRF for free.
A huge thank you to Jouer Cafe for sponsoring this! Details will follow for what activities are planned for the Fun Zone.

New name, new date, and more ‘Beaumont’ for the Beaumont Blues & Roots Festival
Following five years calling home to the Beaumont and District Agricultural Society (B.A.D.A.S.) Fairgrounds, 1 km west of Beaumont, AB, the Beaumont Blues and Roots Festival (formerly ‘Beaumont Blues Festival’) is excited to announce a change of location. We have applied to the town of Beaumont to relocate the festival to Four Seasons Park right in the heart of town! Home to Don Sparrow Lake and the Lions Water Spray Park, the 53 acre Four Seasons Park will increase visibility not only for the festival itself, but also for the local businesses and the town as a whole. This considered move follows months of consultation with patrons, residents, industry experts and the town. Additional considerations include shelter from weather elements, room for expansion and safety for patrons.
The 6th annual festival is to be held during the summer solstice on June 21-23, 2013, meaning glorious music in the summer sun! Whether you are from Beaumont, St. Albert, Leduc, Spruce Grove, Sherwood Park, Devon, Edmonton, or further afield, join us!
Since 2008, as Canada’s only 100% Canadian Content festival, the Beaumont Blues Festival has been proud to present the Alberta Capital Region with the best in live Canadian blues, roots, folk, rockabilly and country music. The BBF has continued to grow and expand from our grassroots beginnings into a world class festival.
Beaumont Blues Festival is moving to June 21-23, 2013!
The summer solstice, that moment when the earth reaches its maximum axial tilt and the sun reaches its highest point in the sky. The longest day of the year for us here in the northern hemisphere. The summer solstice, the day the BLUES returns to Beaumont!
